About
I started Life Well Balanced for one simple reason: I was tired of feeling tired.
A few years ago, I was caught in a cycle that I suspect many of you know all too well. I’d wake up groggy, power through the morning with coffee, crash in the afternoon, reach for something sweet to keep going, and then lie awake at night with my mind racing about everything I hadn’t done. My joints ached in ways that made me feel older than I was. And the anxiety? It was a quiet hum that I’d convinced myself was “just how I am.”
But deep down, I knew something had to change.
I started reading. Not just blog posts – but the actual research. I dug into metabolic health, inflammation pathways, the gut-brain connection, and the psychology of habit formation. And what I discovered surprised me: the solutions weren’t complicated, expensive, or extreme. They were simple, consistent, and backed by real science.
More importantly, I discovered that blood sugar, joint pain, and anxiety aren’t separate problems. They’re different faces of the same underlying imbalances – stress, inflammation, and lifestyle drift. When I started addressing them together, everything shifted.
This site is where I share what I’ve learned – not as a doctor or a guru, but as a fellow traveler who’s done the homework and wants to save you time, money, and frustration.
My Philosophy
-
Start small. Lasting change comes from habits you can maintain, not drastic overhauls you’ll abandon in a week.
-
Trust evidence, not hype. I’ll never recommend something just because it’s trending. If I suggest a product or practice, it’s because the research supports it – and I’ll tell you when the evidence is weak.
-
Progress, not perfection. Some days are easier than others. That’s normal. What matters is showing up again tomorrow.
-
Everything connects. Your blood sugar affects your mood. Your inflammation affects your joints. Your stress affects your digestion. I write with this interconnectedness in mind.
What You’ll Find Here
Every week, I publish articles on:
- 🍃 Blood sugar stability – practical tips that go beyond “just avoid sugar”
- 🦵 Joint health and mobility – because movement is medicine
- 🧠 Anxiety and mental clarity – tools that actually calm the nervous system
You’ll also find honest reviews of supplements, books, and devices that I’ve tried myself. Some links are affiliate links – but I only recommend what I genuinely believe in.
Beyond the Blog
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me:
- Hiking in nature (the best anxiety medicine there is)
- Experimenting with anti-inflammatory recipes in the kitchen
- Reading research papers for fun (yes, I’m that person)
- Trying (and often failing) to meditate consistently
